Sweet or Savoury ?
Both, life’s too short!
Tell us a joke:
A hairdresser goes on a lunch break…
He’s taught me to always work hard and to always keep going.
Why Salon HER ?
Michael interviewed me for a job six years ago and I told him that if he opened a salon I would love to work there. I got the job, we worked together for years — and didn’t want to kill each other! — and that’s pretty damn special.
Hair extensions. I love giving women their dream hair, even if it isn’t their own. As a fine-hair gal myself I know how limiting it can feel so being able to offer endless options of length, density and colour just gets me excited.
Oman. My dad was based there as a pilot so I grew up with fond memories of adventuring with my family through the arid mountains and along the coastline, the intense aromas and the sweltering heat.
In a former life…
…I did a commerce degree majoring in finance and accounting before pursuing my true passion for hair. I’ve always been logical and creative so a career in hair has been the most rewarding as it allows me to combine the two.
Why Salon HER?
For starters the space is absolutely stunning! To me, it takes the best parts from some of the world’s best salons, and marries them into a space that’s unlike anything I’ve seen in Australia. A space that nurtures and supports its people, enabling them to create their most elevated work.
Taking brunettes lighter. It’s a broad spectrum but I always suggest to take it slowly and to embrace the different stages of the process.
My mum and my beautiful partner Riley; two people I know will always be there for me.
Wildest travel story?
